Artist statement

“Music that can live in a crowded room and still feel private.”

My music begins with rhythm, but it is really about movement—between cities, identities, relationships and different versions of myself.

The artist

Warri → Toronto

A Nigerian voice shaped between two cities.

Born Oluwafemi Olumide Ijatoye in Warri, Delta State, 7emora began making music as a teenager. When studio time was out of reach, he taught himself to program drums in FL Studio—an early act of independence that still shapes his process.

He entered professional recording in 2014 as Mora with “Nakam.” Since then, his blend of African rhythm, pop instinct and melodic storytelling has carried him from intimate records to major cultural stages.
